#144, Bobbot #144

22.09, Bobbot #144 is a hand carved robot made of basswood and painted with artists grade acrylic paint. Small details added with liner pen and paintbrush. 4-1/2" tall by 1-1/2" square. Numbered, initialed and dated on the bottom.

#143, “Free Hugs” evil snowman

22.09, Make no mistake, this snowman loves to give free hugs, although it may take a bite out of you! Hand carved from basswood and painted with artists grade acrylic this snowman wears a festive top hat and has a bloodthirst for creating holiday memories. Numbered, initialed and dated on the bottom. Inspired by the best newspaper comics ever!

5-1/4" tall, by approximately 5-1/2" wide and 3" deep.

#142, Bobby Blackbird on perch

22.09, Bobby is a cute little blackbird sitting atop his favorite perch - and old tree stump in a too-small pot. Hand carved from basswood and painted with artists grade acrylic. Numbered, initialed and dated on the bottom. 4-1/2" tall by approximately 1-1/4" wide.

#134-#138 Bookshelf Bats

22.09, My bookshelf bats are designed to sit on a bookshelf (up to 1" thick) and add their own little presence to your favorite reading room or office. Carved from basswood and painted with artists grade acrylic, each bat has a unique expression. Bats are attached with small eyelets so do 'wiggle' about when the bookcase is disturbed.

#133, “Vance” Mulletbot #133

22.09, "Vance" the Mulleted robot is all business up front and party in the back with his adjustable jets and giant grin. Handcarved from basswood and my imagination, Vance is in a category all his own.

Tail and jets are removable and attached with wooden dowels. Numbered, initialed and dated on the bottom. Approximately 5" across, 3" tall and 4" from front to back.

#132, Don “Iceman” Penguinioni

22.09, Don ""Iceman"" Penguinioni is a somber fellow who seems pleasantly displeased with all despite his festive red bowtie and shiny black and white wingtip shoes.

I had fun carving this character and finding him in the block of wood while carving at a friend's carve-in on a wednesday eve. There's texture from pyrography that his highlighted with drybrushing and washing paint techniques. Carved on the diagonal from a block of basswood. The "Iceman" measures approximately 1-1/2" on the front angles, 2-1/8" wide at the back and 6-3/4" tall. Numbered, initialed and dated on the bottom.

#131, Clintworth Quietwatch

22.08, Just keeping an eye on things, Clintworth Quietwatch is a small blackbird carving with large watchful eyes sitting atop a log. Carved from a 1" x 1" block of basswood and measures 4" tall. Numbered, dated and initialed on the bottom.

#129, Scout #129 and observation droid

22.08, This sand-blasted Space Scout and his observation droid has wandered the galaxy in search of a new home (and the perfect grilled cheese.)

Scout measures approximately 5-1/2" and was carved from a 2" block of basswood with a movable mini-turret on top of his helmet. Observation droid measures an 1-3/4" tall by about 1-1/2" across.

#128, Professor A. W. Full

22.08, Professor A. W. Full (Alberdeen Wilford) is pleased to pass his grumpy giant eyebrow-hooded gaze in your direction. Carved from basswood, the Professor measures just over 5" tall and 1" across. Numbered, initialed and dated by the artist.

#125, Little Louis - the patient one

22.07, Little Louis is–above all–patient. This small ravenesque bird spends his days perched on a branch above a previous acquaintance. Louis has been carved from one piece of basswood and painted with artist's grade acrylic. Carved from an 1-1/2" by 1-1/2" block with a finished height of 5".

#124, Big Eared Eddie

22.07, Big Eared Eddie is a hand-carved owl with giant super-sensitive ears - and he just can't get any quiet time so is always sleepy and a bit bloodshot. Carved from basswood and painted with artist's grade acrylic. 2" wide, just over 1" deep and nearly 5-1/2" tall.

#123, Judgmental Joe

22.07, Joe knows one thing. He disapproves.

This raven/crow creature was hand carved from basswood and painted with artist's grade acrylic. Joe measures 4-3/8" tall and 1" by 1" base.
